Corel PhotoMirage

For giving selected parts of a still photograph a convincing looping motion. Corel PhotoMirage turns a still photo into a looping animation. You drag motion arrows over the parts that should move, such as water, clouds or hair, place anchor points around areas that must stay still, adjust speed in the preview and export the result as MP4 (H.264 or HEVC), WMV or animated GIF for social media. A photo animation works by giving selected areas a sense of motion while retaining a stable part of the picture. A scene with flowing material or another visually suitable region can become more engaging without turning into a fully filmed sequence. Defining the relationship between moving and fixed areas is the creative task: the boundary should remain convincing as the animation repeats. Previewing the loop helps reveal edges or motion that do not fit the original photograph. The application animates a still image, so it does not recover a real video recording of the scene. Some photographs lend themselves to the effect more naturally than others. Keep the source photo and save the editable project before export. Choose an output appropriate to where the animation will be shown, and inspect the complete loop rather than only a single moment.
