Chromix ColorThink 4

For analysing profiles and colour relationships in a controlled imaging or print workflow. Chromix ColorThink 4 analyses ICC colour profiles and colour data. It graphs profiles, colour lists and the colours in images in 3D Lab, Luv or Yxy space, overlays several profiles to compare their gamuts, shows which image colours fall outside a printer's gamut and inspects the contents of a profile. An ICC profile describes colour behaviour, and a gamut visualisation makes part of that information easier to compare. Plotting two profiles can reveal where their represented colour ranges differ, while looking at colour data helps investigate how a workflow relates to those ranges. This is useful to print and imaging specialists who need evidence about profiles and devices rather than judging every colour-management question from a screen preview alone. A plotted gamut is information about the profile being examined, not a guarantee that the current physical device still matches it. Use the correct profiles and keep their measurement context. Interpreting colour differences also depends on the surrounding workflow, so a visually larger gamut does not automatically identify the better device for a particular job.
