Corel Painter 2020

For artists who want a painting-centred workspace with control over brushes, colour and composition. Corel Painter 2020 is digital-painting software built around natural-media brushes: oils, watercolours, pastels, pencils and inks that react to a pressure-sensitive tablet, Thick Paint for impasto with visible depth, Particle brushes, paper textures and grains, and layers. Clone painting and auto-painting turn a photograph into a painting that you refine by hand. Digital painting focuses on creating marks and developing a picture rather than only correcting an existing photograph. Brush behaviour influences the texture and character of those marks, while layers help keep parts of a composition manageable as it changes. An illustrator can explore a sketch, build colour and refine details without treating every stage as one irreversible image. This makes Painter relevant to expressive illustration and artwork where the feel of the painting tools is central to the result. A drawing tablet and its pressure configuration can substantially affect the working experience. Check the tablet driver, supported operating system and requirements for the named Painter release. Brush collections and capabilities vary between versions, so an older licence should not be assumed to include every tool shown for the current product. Preserve an editable project before producing flattened copies for sharing.
