Overview
Check a storage device for problematic sectors and review the scan results. Macrorit Disk Scanner Pro 6.1.0 runs a surface test on hard drives, SSDs, USB drives and memory cards to find bad sectors. Results appear on a live map with bad blocks in red, several disks can be scanned at once, a scan can be limited to part of the disk, and the log can be saved for later review. A surface scan reads through the selected storage area and reports sectors that cannot be accessed as expected. The result can provide a clearer picture of where a read problem occurs than an ordinary file browser, which may only report that a file could not be opened or copied. This makes the utility useful during storage investigation or when evaluating a drive that has shown errors. The scan is evidence about the tested area at that time, not a complete explanation of the underlying cause. A connection issue, controller problem and failing media can all require further investigation beyond the displayed scan map. Prioritize copying important accessible data before performing extended work on a suspect device. The software is not a substitute for a recovery service and does not promise to repair physical defects. Confirm that the drive is correctly connected and use the Disk Scanner product and major release covered by the license when troubleshooting registration.

Lifetime means the license does not expire. It does not mean the publisher still updates or supports this version — that can end earlier.
