Microsoft Access 2016

Create a small business database, simplify data entry with forms and use queries and reports to retrieve and summarize records. Microsoft Access 2016 is Microsoft's desktop database: build related tables, queries, data-entry forms and printable reports, automate them with macros and VBA, and import or link data from Excel, SQL Server and other ODBC sources. Start with tables to hold the records, then use queries to select or summarize information. Forms give users a clearer data-entry surface, while reports turn stored records into material that can be read, printed or shared. Related tables help avoid repeating the same information throughout a database and make it possible to bring different record types together. A useful Access project therefore involves both data design and interface design. Think about how records relate, which fields users need to enter and which questions the reports must answer. This is a desktop database workflow, not a claim that a hosted database service or server licence is included. Existing databases and add-ins should be checked against this release before migration. Microsoft support for Access 2016 ended on 14 October 2025, so it no longer receives security updates.
