Nuance PaperPort Pro 14.5

Scan and organize paperwork alongside existing digital documents. Nuance PaperPort Pro 14.5 organises scanned paper and digital files on your PC: documents appear as thumbnails in folders, and it opens and organises more than 150 document and photo formats. It scans to searchable PDF with OCR, creates and combines PDFs, protects them with passwords, turns scanned paper forms into fillable forms with FormTyper, and saves to over 20 online services through the Cloud Connector. The document workspace provides a visual way to browse the records gathered from paper and existing files. Scan incoming material, name it consistently and place it where it can be found again. Thumbnails and page-oriented tools help distinguish documents that would otherwise look like a long list of similar filenames. This is useful for small-office paperwork such as correspondence, forms and supporting records. The aim is to make retrieval and sharing easier without having to reopen every document to discover its contents. A sensible folder arrangement remains part of the workflow, particularly when several people rely on the same filing conventions. PaperPort's organizational role differs from OmniPage's dedicated document-conversion workflow. A PaperPort license does not include OmniPage Ultimate or the features of newer PaperPort releases. Check the supported scanner driver and operating system for version 14.5, and keep independent copies of important source documents.
