Virtual DJ and Karaoke Studio 7

Manage tracks and karaoke playback in a desktop workspace designed for live audio use. Virtual DJ and Karaoke Studio 7 (Virtual DJ Studio from VDJ.net, not the Atomix VirtualDJ) mixes music, video and karaoke on Windows. Up to six parallel channels each have a player with pitch and tempo control, a volume fader and crossfader assignment; a 10-band equaliser, audio plug-ins, a spectrum analyser and a playlist editor are built in. Karaoke plays directly from ZIP files, with background images, colours, sync adjustment and output to a second monitor. A practical session involves more than choosing the next file. Prepare the playlist, check the audio route and make sure the material behaves as expected before it is needed. The application’s playback and mixing workflow supports that process, while karaoke introduces the additional requirement of matching the displayed material and the sound output to the performance. This is the VDJ.net product, not Atomix VirtualDJ. This is version 7; functions exclusive to newer versions are not included. Use the correct installer and test the intended audio devices before a live session. A short rehearsal is especially useful for checking levels, output selection and the transition between different kinds of material.
