Overview

For tonal shaping where stereo or mid/side control is useful to the material. Boz Digital Labs The Hoser XT VST is an analog-modelled channel equaliser based on the Ward-Beck M462B hardware EQ. It works in stereo, mono, independent left/right or mid/side mode, handles large gain changes without digital harshness and uses little CPU, so it can sit on many tracks. Equalisation changes the balance of frequency regions within a sound. In a stereo signal, left/right or mid/side treatment offers different ways to address the centre and surrounding information. This can be useful when a source needs tonal adjustment without applying identical changes everywhere in its stereo presentation. A hardware-inspired response also makes the processor a creative choice for the sound of the adjustment itself. Judge tonal changes at a comparable output level and check the whole mix rather than the isolated track alone. The effect requires a compatible plug-in host.
