Overview
Turn repeatable infrastructure requests into catalog services and automated deployment workflows. VMware vRealize Automation Enterprise 7.5 is infrastructure automation software for defining and delivering repeatable services. Administrators model deployments with blueprints or templates, expose approved services through a catalog, and manage requests and provisioned resources through controlled workflows. Define a repeatable deployment in a blueprint or template, connect the necessary infrastructure endpoints and make the approved service available through a catalog. A user request can then follow the configured process instead of requiring an administrator to rebuild the same environment manually. This is useful where many similar requests need consistent configuration and traceable handling. The automation layer depends on the systems it controls. Endpoint credentials, permissions, networking and resource availability influence whether a deployment can complete, while the request history helps identify where a workflow failed. A well-designed template should be tested with representative inputs before being offered broadly to users. Automation is a management and provisioning product, not a hypervisor or an automatic license for the infrastructure it deploys. The 7.x and 8.x generations differ in architecture and terminology, so use their own deployment requirements rather than assuming a common Windows installation. Advanced and Enterprise editions differ in their integrations and automation functions, so check that the features you need are part of this edition.
