Overview
Virtualization for workloads at an eligible retail, remote or branch-office site. VMware vSphere 8.0u Enterprise Plus for Remote Office Branch Office is positioned for virtualized workloads at remote or branch locations rather than a central data-center estate. ESXi hosts at a site can run local VMs for services that benefit from staying close to users or equipment. Central administrators can manage compatible branch hosts through the appropriate vCenter environment, while each location still needs its own reliable compute, storage, and network design. The ROBO license category has historically been governed by limits tied to purchased virtual-machine capacity and authorized locations, rather than a simple desktop-device count. Deployment rights depend on the licensed site and virtual-machine allowance. The ROBO edition does not include every availability feature of the full editions. Plan for intermittent branch connectivity, local backup and recovery, and physical support at the site. Check the precise ESXi build, vCenter compatibility, and license certificate before rollout. This product is server virtualization software, not a Windows application installed on a branch user's PC.

Global means we sell this key without a region lock. The publisher can still restrict use in some countries under its own terms.
Lifetime means the license does not expire. It does not mean the publisher still updates or supports this version — that can end earlier.
