Overview
Create repeating cuts and pulses in audio using adjustable gate patterns, timing and shape controls. A compatible plug-in host is required. SPC Plugins Gater Pro 4 is a stereo trance-gate plug-in. It chops audio with 16-step stereo patterns or 32-step linked patterns, three gate shapes (gate, ramp and trapezoid), variable gate width and rates from 1/4 to 1/128, with MIDI learn and a freewheel mode that keeps running when the host stops. The gate pattern determines when sound passes and when it is reduced. Timing, swing and gate shape change how that pattern feels, while the mix control affects how strongly the processed result is heard. The publisher describes stereo patterns and linked patterns, providing ways to work with the rhythmic relationship between the channels. A compatible audio host is required; this is a plug-in rather than a complete recording application. Match the plug-in format and architecture to the host before installation. This is the Windows version of the plug-in. Test compatibility before making it part of a production setup.
