FastStone MaxView

Inspect images quickly using a compact viewer and convenient zoom controls. FastStone MaxView is a small, fast image viewer for Windows. Besides opening pictures from a folder, it reads images directly from ZIP, RAR and 7z archives, including password-protected ones, and CBR/CBZ comic files, and it can rotate, resize, crop, annotate and print the image it shows. The emphasis is on getting from a file to a clear view of the image with minimal interface clutter. Navigate through a folder, zoom into detail and use a full-screen view when you want to judge a picture without surrounding application panels. This suits quick checks of artwork, screenshots or photographs. A dedicated viewer is useful when the task is inspection rather than a long editing session. You can review several files, compare their visible details and identify which images should move into a separate editing or production workflow. It also provides a convenient way to open a picture during a discussion or reference task. The ability to view a format depends on the release and file contents, especially for specialized camera or design files. Do not treat viewing support as proof of a complete editing workflow for that format. Confirm the Windows version and the required file support for this MaxView release before adopting it as a default viewer.
