GerbView 10

Inspect Gerber and related engineering data before sharing or printing a design. GerbView 10 (Software Companions) views, prints, marks up and converts PCB manufacturing data: Gerber RS-274X and RS-274D, Excellon drill files, ODB++, HPGL/2 and PDF. Files convert to DXF, PDF and other formats, RS-274D converts to extended Gerber, and markups (text, images, barcodes, shapes) can be burned into native Gerber data. The product family supports Gerber and related formats such as drill data. A workspace can bring files together for visual inspection, and measurement or query tools help examine manufacturing details. The practical task is to check that layers, dimensions and other information are understood before the files are passed onward. Printing or conversion can then prepare the material for a review or another part of the workflow. File interpretation depends on the format and its supporting information. Units, aperture data and the relationship between layers can affect how a design appears, so an unexpected display should be investigated rather than accepted as the final design. This is a viewer and conversion workflow; it is not a guarantee that a board has passed electrical or manufacturing validation.
