Overview
Build evolving MIDI patterns by arranging and chaining sequence blocks. HY-Plugins HY-MPS 2 is a MIDI step-sequencer plug-in built around sequence blocks and a block chainer. It lets users combine shorter note patterns into changing sequences that drive a separate synthesizer or other MIDI instrument. Each sequence block represents a smaller musical pattern. By deciding how those blocks are triggered and combined, you can create a longer phrase that changes over time without programming every note in a conventional arrangement. This makes the plug-in useful for experimenting with melodic patterns and variations. The output is MIDI information, so the sound comes from the instrument receiving it. Route that output to a synthesizer or another suitable destination, start the host transport and listen to how different block settings change the phrase. The sequencer and sound source remain separate parts of the setup. A silent track often indicates missing MIDI routing rather than an audio-processing problem. Check channels, monitoring and host support for plug-in MIDI output before changing the pattern itself. This is the MPS 2 block-sequencer generation; features introduced in MPS 3 or later releases are not included.
