Explore different sequencing engines and capture the resulting MIDI patterns. HY-Plugins HY-SEQCollection 2 combines several MIDI sequencer engines with modulation and MIDI effects. Users can generate patterns, alter the note output and record the resulting MIDI for further editing in their music-production workflow. Different sequencer engines encourage different kinds of pattern construction, from direct step programming to more generative rhythmic approaches. Choose an engine, shape its output and route the notes to an instrument. This can make the plug-in a starting point for a new musical phrase rather than simply another place to enter an already written melody. MIDI effects modify the generated note information before it reaches the sound source. Modulation introduces movement into pattern behavior, and the MIDI recorder lets you capture a useful result for later editing. The recorded file can become part of a more conventional arrangement once a promising pattern has been found. The plug-in produces MIDI and needs a separate sound-generating instrument. Host routing, channel settings and transport state therefore matter as much as the sequencer controls.
