HY-Plugins HY-RPE 2

Generate grid-based and Euclidean MIDI rhythms for a connected instrument. HY-Plugins HY-RPE 2 is an 8-track MIDI sequencing plug-in with grid and Euclidean pattern engines. It generates rhythmic note patterns to drive a separate instrument, letting users explore different timing arrangements without manually drawing every note in a piano roll. The two sequencing approaches offer different ways to develop a rhythm. A grid encourages direct placement of events, while a Euclidean pattern distributes events according to its pattern settings. Switching the approach can reveal a different rhythmic idea without changing the instrument that will play it. Route the generated notes to a drum instrument, sampler or synthesizer and use the host transport to hear the pattern in context. Note assignments and MIDI channels determine which sounds respond. This keeps pattern construction separate from sound selection, allowing the rhythm to be tested with several instruments. HY-RPE 2 is a MIDI generator, not a drum sample library or an audio effect that changes incoming sound. The host must support the necessary MIDI-output routing. Check monitoring and note mapping if the pattern display moves but the destination remains silent, and verify the registered edition before expecting the full engine set.
